National Interpreter Symbol

The interpreter symbol is a national public information symbol developed by Victoria in partnership with the Commonwealth, State and Territory Governments according to Australian Standard 2342.

The interpreter symbol indicates to the public where people with limited English literacy can request language assistance when using Government services.

ITSNT will encourage Government and non-Government agencies to display the National Interpreter Symbol at their work places, in particular those agencies that deal regularly with non-English speaking customers.

You may download appropriate Interpreter Symbols from the following links for use in your agency.
