More than one third of Territorians speak languages other than English, and they can face significant challenges when accessing information and services.

The NT Government is committed to ensuring Territorians who speak languages other than English have equal access to Government services.  The Language Services Policy was developed to establish a common approach for all Departments in delivering and using language services.

The policy outlines how and where language services can be accessed and why it is important to use them.
